RYAN INTERVIEWS EDWARD VIGILETTI

Today I caught up with the sweetheart that is Edward Vigiletti. One of Edwards inspirations is Lady Gaga, and when he entered a look a like competition to win tickets to see her live his picture was used around the world on many many sites such as Perez Hilton, who believed that the picture was a picture of Gaga.

Since this Lady Gaga has set his picture as her default background image on Twitter, Edward’s Gaga inspired pictures could easily be mistaken as the lady herself and I caught up with Edward earlier today to find out more about this experience amongst other things.

Interview:

Ryan:

Hi Edward, Thank you for agreeing to do this interview. Firstly, could you tell me a bit about yourself?

Eddie Vigiletti:

To start things off i’d like to say, I’m not a gaga impersonator.

Ryan:

haha

Does it bother you when people say you are?

Eddie Vigiletti:

Oh not at all, regardless of what people think I am they still seem to treat me with the utter most respect.

Im excited to be able to show them all what I feel I really am though.

Ryan:

You have gained a legion of fans in the form of ‘Little Monsters’ because you look like Lady Gaga, several media outlets including Perez Hilton have you used your pictures thinking it was Lady Gaga, how has this experience been?

Eddie Vigiletti:

Haha, well I remember when I found out my picture was on Perez

I flipped out! Because the photo was taken out of just silliness and having fun on a Saturday night. After the shoot I had gone home with the disk of all the photos and my friend tells about this contest to see Gaga in birmingham and It was the last day to enter in your photos. I entered in the photo I was drawn to the most that same night.

Ended up losing the contest because I was only on the site for a day before the polls closed. A day goes by.. and I’m having breakfast I get a text saying to check perez and there I was haha.

From there I was Gagas twitter bg. After I saw that, I really just felt happy.

Think of it being like one of the people you really truthfully admire acknowledging you and really taking an interest in you.

I honestly just went so off topic…

But I never get to talk with anyone about I feel about the whole thing

lol

Ryan:

That is so amazing Edward, so what was just some fun turned into the world seeing your picture

I bet it was an amazing feeling, especially when Gaga set it as her background picture, I’m sure just knowing she had seen it meant a lot but for her to set it as her background picture for all to see must of been amazing

Eddie Vigiletti:

It really was. It’s funny for me to think such a small thing gave me the world of confidence.

Ryan:

I bet it did  When were you first told you looked like Lady Gaga?

Eddie Vigiletti:

One night my buddies and I went to a club, and the second I got out of the car people came up to me calling me Gaga asking for a picture.

I thought to myself “shit, this could get fun”.

Ryan:

That must of been so surreal and amazing, to be mistaken for one of the world biggest pop stars and icons right now

Eddie Vigiletti:

It was really more funny to me.

Ryan:

After that experience did it motivate you to experiment with it more?

Eddie Vigiletti:

Yeah it did, for a couple weeks after that I started just looking at the things she was wearing and remade them for going out.

But it was never that I was trying to be exactly like her I just always loved what she wore! And I thought to myself if Im going to go out in Drag it has to the way I would do it as a career.

And what do you know, doing so is starting an amazing one.

Ryan:

I bet  How have things changed for you?

Eddie Vigiletti:

But it was never just her that gave me all the inspiration.

Well I started working with a producer. For the past few weeks I’ve been working with him setting up projects.

Ryan:

That is great  what can we expect to see from you in the future?

Eddie Vigiletti:

More wigs and bigger heels.

Ryan says:

Haha I love it

What does Lady Gaga mean to you?

Eddie Vigiletti:

A woman who’s sending out an amazing message to todays youth.

I feel If people would stop being so narrow minded and looked past the makeup and past the clothes they would see a woman who is truly amazing.

Ryan:

I couldn’t agree more

What is your favorite Lady Gaga song and why?

Eddie Vigiletti:

hmm

starstruck

It was the first song by her that really made me think, Im going to like this woman. I had gotten it a few weeks before she started playing it in the clubs. My friends and I had gone to see her perform at Tigerheat for 10 dollars and she played it for the first time for everyone.

And the the entire she was singing and performing she just kept dedicating everything to her fans.

Ryan:

that is so cool

Eddie Vigiletti:

Okay

Ryan:

FreeFuckinBitch would like to know if you plan on doing any make up tutorials?

Eddie Vigiletti:

Haha I don’t feel I would be the best at giving lessons. It’s taken me years to learn my face.

Ryan:

okay cool

MangoMyTango would like to know has ryan burke found you and called you to do an photoshoot with him because he loved you and your sense of fashion?

Eddie Vigiletti:

No, Ryan and I have been friends for a little over a year now. We didn’t see each other for quite a few months and that night we did was the night we did the first shoot.

Ryan:

Dean would like to know if you get recognised on a daily basis, and other than Lady Gaga who and what else are your inspirations in life

Eddie Vigiletti:

No I don’t, but I don’t really attract that to myself. Mainly my biggest inspiration is just doing what makes you feel good.

It’s so simple but amazing things come when you feel good.

They’re are many people and things in the world that have inspired me of course though. One being Phillip Blond.

Ryan:

Favorite Food?

Eddie Vigiletti:

Sushi seems to always hit the spot

Ryan:

Last question. Where can you see yourself in ten years time? What would you like to achieve?

Eddie Vigiletti:

I see myself with a man I love. And a career that allows me to help others and myself with ease.

Ryan:

Edward:

One last thing, If there was one message I would like to give everyone it is just to be please be yourself.  You’re wonderful and once you realize that the world and everything you want is just a thought away.

Ryan:
