Glitter: The Fame Monster – A Lady GaGa musical

Posted on August 4, 2011 by

Glitter: The Fame Monster is a Lady GaGa based theatrical musical created by a playwrite/journalist by the name of Chris Melvin. It is a show written by a little monster, with the hope to add Lady GaGa’s works to the theatrical stage alongside musical shows such as ABBA’s “Mamma Mia”, Greenday’s “American Idiot” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You”.

Glitter: The Fame Monster has been pitched to Lady GaGa’s management, in the form of a beautifully presented art book. Discussions have also taken place with UMG and Sony ATV, who have been very supportive toward the script and idea presented. Right now, those behind Glitter: TFM’s promotion are interested in creating a fan base that will not only help promote the musical to Lady GaGa, but will help show Lady GaGa’s management that it will be the right decision to support this venture.

The Fame Monster has been chosen as the focus for several reasons. From it being the starting point of the “little monster” fanbase, to the most poignant growth of her career, Chris believed that it was the best era of GaGa’s career so far to focus on first. The script (which is now fully finished), has been reviewed by many professionals and had been in development for a year. Ideas are already being thrown around for a sequel in the future, should it ever become possible!

Make sure to follow Glitter: The Fame Monster (@GlitterTFM) on Twitter! We’re great fans of this script and idea, and we know that many of you little monsters will be too! A teaser video is in the works, and will be published quite soon. So keep checking back to Lady GaGa News for future information about Glitter: The Fame Monster, and make sure to keep an eye on their Twitter account!

    NO!!!!
Lady gaga is apart of her own management, if she thinks this should not go on, then it shouldn’t. you can’t do sequels on broadway! Lady gaga’s career is just beginning and she will have a lot more music. ABBA’s “Mamma Mia”, Greenday’s “American Idiot” and Queen’s “We Will Rock You” all are from artists with a lengthy career with a lot of music.
Knowing gaga’s theatrical background she knows what she is doing, if gaga says no. don’t push it!
I’m sorry its good idea, but not at this early point in here career!

If anyone should star in it – it’s she! I smell a Tony in her future! LOL!  - Seriously, her concerts are already theater – Do we need her songs done by someone else?

i would be ecstatic if i cud see a gaga show on broadway.
its perfect for all us little monsters to be together and share the memories of the monster ball.

on the other hand, i do see your point, gagalove.
it is early in her career. the show could be better later on, not that it wouldnt be fantastic now
im simply thrilled with the idea.

mother monsters taking over the world =]
