Lady GaGa set to perform at 2011 MTV Video Music Awards

After weeks of speculation, MTV has finally confirmed that Lady GaGa is set to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The awards are set to air from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, on August 28th at 9pm ET.

Ahead of her performance, Lady GaGa will appear on MTV this upcoming Thursday. “MTV First: Lady GaGa” will have an exclusive VMA related announcement from GaGa, along with the premiere of her VMA promo teaser at 7.49pm ET. The show will also see the MTV debut of her new video “Yoü And I”, which was released on VEVO yesterday after Lady GaGa decided to tweet it two days early.
