Lady Gaga forced to postpone Born This Way Ball shows on doctor’s orders

Live Nation Global Touring has announced that Lady Gaga has been forced to postpone several dates of her North American Born This Way Ball tour on doctor’s orders. Lady Gaga is suffering from synovitis (severe inflammation of joints) and has no choice but to postpone the shows until further notice.

From Lady Gaga:

I am completely devastated and heartsick. I’ve been hiding this injury and pain from my staff for a month, praying it would heal, but after last night’s performance I could not walk. To the fans in Chicago, Detroit and Hamilton, I hope you can forgive me as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself right now. I would do anything for you. I will hopefully heal as soon as possible and be at 500% again, which is what you deserve.

The shows that have been postponed include:

Feb. 13 & 14 – Chicago, IL – United Center
Feb. 16 – Detroit, MI – Palace of Auburn Hills
Feb 17 – Hamilton, ON – Copps Coliseum

Any shows following that date are expected to proceed as scheduled. Fans who have tickets to any of the postponed shows are asked to retain their tickets, until rescheduled dates have been confirmed. For more information, visit LiveNation.com and LadyGaga.com.

    Well, I’m glad she’s taking time to recover. Unfurtunately, I had planned on proposing to my Fiance at the 14th show, so that puts a damper on things.. Luckily this was annouced in time to cancel all of our reservations. Unfurtunately there’ll be a hearbroken little monster this valentines day…

    Sorry to hear the news- she should try and wear sneakers on stage- we’ll love her no matter what. Hope she’s up to her concert in Tampa next month!!!
