After weeks of speculation, MTV has finally confirmed that Lady GaGa is set to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The awards are set to air from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, on August 28th at 9pm ET.

Ahead of her performance, Lady GaGa will appear on MTV this upcoming Thursday. “MTV First: Lady GaGa” will have an exclusive VMA related announcement from GaGa, along with the premiere of her VMA promo teaser at 7.49pm ET. The show will also see the MTV debut of her new video “Yoü And I”, which was released on VEVO yesterday after Lady GaGa decided to tweet it two days early.

Tony Bennett took time to give an interview to Billboard Magazine, about his upcoming “Duets II” album. He spoke about working with Lady GaGa on their duet for “The Lady Is A Tramp” and where he sees her being in the future.

I never met a more talented person in my life… I think she’s going to become as big as Elvis Presley.

The album, which also features duets with Aretha Franklin and the late Amy Winehouse, will be released worldwide on September 20th.

Barney’s New York have announced that they are set to team up with Lady GaGa to create their Holiday 2011 campaign, entitled “GaGa’s Workshop”. The collaboration will take place with Lady GaGa and her good friend and fashion director Nicola Formichetti, working alongside Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus.

An entire floor of Barney’s New York store will be dedicated to the campaign, and will debut in mid-November. The campaign will be shown on the fifth floor of the men’s store, and will be showcased through the stores iconic Madison Avenue windows.

25% of all sales from items featured in GaGa’s Workshop shall be donated to a charity of Lady GaGa’s choice. Mark Lee, Barney’s New York CEO, spoke about the upcoming campaign:

Lady GaGa has tweeted another still from her upcoming music video “Yoü And I” ahead of its release this Thursday. In what appears to be a shot of GaGa’s feet, they are covered in dirt after walking from New York all the way to Nebraska. The video debuts this Thursday on MTV at 7.55pm EST/6.55pm Central. It has been announced that the music video for Lady GaGa’s upcoming single “Yoü And I”, shall debut this Thursday, August 18th on MTV at 7.55pm EST/6.55pm Central. The video, which has been described as a journey from New York to Springfield, Nebraska in which Lady GaGa tries to find her man, was directed by the Haus of GaGa and choreographed by Laurieann Gibson. Make sure to check it out when its released little monsters, it is sure to be one to remember!

Lady GaGa was spotted making her way out of her hotel yesterday, August 13th, ahead of her departure later in the day from Los Angeles.
