Little Monster meets Lady GaGa backstage in Pittsburgh

030111GAGAAt just 6 years old, Mazzy Tomich is Lady Gaga’s “littlest monster.” The young fan and the pop artist met Saturday in Pittsburgh, when Mazzy’s dad, Kevin, won a contest to meet Gaga backstage at her Monster Ball concert. Kevin Tomich entered the contest as concert sponsors photographed Mazzy in a custom replica dress — black with silver sequins — she wore for the occasion. She first wore the dress last Halloween.

During the concert, Tomich received the call he had won, and received a microphoned cell phone, on which he spoke to Lady Gaga and pointed to his daughter, held up by her mother, Erin Tomich. “She just flipped out when she saw the ‘little monster,’ Mazzy,” he said, using the term Gaga uses to refer to her fans. “You don’t get many 6-year-olds.”

After the concert — Mazzy’s fourth seeing Lady Gaga — the Tomiches spent about 10 minutes backstage, talking to the star and meeting her mother and grandparents. Before the family could leave that night, many other fans snapped Mazzy’s photo. “A lot of people wanted to get their picture taken with her, too,” said Erin Tomich. Mazzy, who also likes Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Miranda Cosgrove, became a Lady Gaga fan after hearing the hit “Poker Face” played at the DelGrosso Amusement Park in Tipton in 2009. Her dad said she was hooked.

“She would just walk around the house singing, ‘P-p-p-poker face,’ ” he said. Mazzy said meeting Lady Gaga was “good” and took photos to show-and-tell in her Radio Park Elementary kindergarten class. Gaga signed the family’s tickets and T-shirts.

As of Sunday, the photo of Mazzy in costume appeared on the concert website, and she appears in a video on the singer’s road blog at http://littleroadmonster.tumblr.com. Underneath the video, interviewer Dannielle Owens-Reid wrote: “This little girl was so cute I could NOT ACTUALLY STAND IT. Her name is Mazzy and I love her.”

Lady Gaga’s ‘The Fame’ becomes most downloaded album of all time in the UK

Lady Gaga’s ‘The Fame’ has become the most successful downloaded album of all time.

The singer’s debut, released in 2008, yesterday saw its download sales pass the 300,000 mark, according to the Official Charts Company.

‘The Fame’ is the only album to have sold more than 250,000 copies online, with Kings of Leon’s ‘Only By The Night’ and Florence and the Machine’s ‘Lungs’ close behind.

”In setting this latest landmark, Lady Gaga has further cemented her position in the annals of pop music history,” said Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot.

Fernando Garibay talks about Lady GaGa’s upcoming single “Judas”

Fernando Garibay, who co-produced many of the tracks on “Born This Way”, stopped by MTV News a few hours after the video debuted and dished about what the second club banger from the album will sound like.

“Judas is produced by RedOne and Gaga, obviously, and it’s a statement about, again I can’t speak for her, but what I gather is it’s about sometimes not choosing the right choice. But you can’t deny that the choice is not a part of you and who you are.”

Like “Born This Way,” “Judas” will have fans dancing. And while “Born This Way” harks back to the club tracks of the ’90s, Garibay explained that “Judas” is a more traditional Gaga tune.

” ‘Judas’ is a dance song, definitely. I think ‘Judas’ in the traditional RedOne/Gaga vein. It’s great because it’s a serious message, it’s a little playful, but still serious, but still somehow you wind up dancing to it. That’s what’s great about her music. You know, like, my favorite songs of all time, dance songs, ‘Billie Jean,’ is a story you wouldn’t think of singing but then you wind up dancing and singing the lyrics. I think that’s the holy grail of music for me, which is dance.”

Gaga has commented on the track in radio interviews, sharing what inspired the song.

“It’s about always falling in love with the wrong man over and over again. “Judas” is a very, very dark song. It’s rad.”

Lady Gaga reveals “Born This Way” has two music videos‎

Lady GaGa stopped by The Gayle King Show and announced that she will be releasing not one, but two music videos for her new single ‘Born This Way’.

The first video will be out on Monday, February 28, and the second will be released later as a more stripped-down performance of the single. She will sell the video on iTunes and gear the profits towards an anti-bullying charity, which is fitting since the song is about accepting who you are and living without prejudice.

Laurieann Gibson talks ‘Born This Way’ video and The Grammys

Many are still baffled by Lady Gaga’s dramatic Grammy entrance on Sunday, and the woman behind the egg that rocked the red carpet breaks it down for Access Hollywood – including the fact that is wasn’t an egg!

“It’s actually a vessel,” Laurieann Gibson, Gaga’s choreographer and creative director, told Access.

“She was incubating, in birthing the new race, she had to go through a DNA transition, so before she was born, we had to actually transfer her in a med box to keep the process going,” she said of the “Born This Way” singer, who emerged from the vessel with horns growing from her body.

“The vessel represents the incubation period. The time where you’ve got to deal with the pain, let it go… It’s a representation of what people feel every day,” she continued. “What really shocks me is that [the media is] trying to break this thing down. You can’t break down greatness, you’re either in or your not!”

Laurieann, who also works with Diddy, Alicia Keys, Katy Perry and The Jonas Brothers, said the Hussein Chalayan-inspired vessel took the Jim Henson Company a month to construct. However, she’d also like the public to pay as much attention to Gaga’s musical skills.

“Did you hear the way she sang? Did you see the way she danced and sang!” she told Access. “I’m gonna tell you, 80 percent of the artists… in the music industry could not hang with her singing and dancing.”

Laurieann has seen the upcoming video for Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and warns that more greatness is ahead.

“I actually saw the [music video] last night,” she added. “So, get ready… It’s beyond!”
