Ne-Yo interested in Gaga collaboration

Ne-Yo says making music with Lady Gaga would be âintriguingâ.
The R&B star has collaborated with some of the music industryâs most talented women, including Rihanna and BeyoncĂ© Knowles, although his latest goal is to work with Lady Gaga.
The singer says he isnât entirely sure what their duet would sound like though, as she is better known for dance music and he prefers hip-hop beats.
“I have no idea! That’s kind of the intriguing thing that I have no idea what that song would sound like,” he told MTV.
“Like, would I jump into her world? Would I pull her into mine?â
Ne-Yo says that whatever ends up happening, the result will be very interesting, and he even suggested a television company film the pair as they make a hit together because he thinks it would make compelling viewing.
âI don’t know, but I feel like it would be interesting to see. Maybe we should get a camera crew over when that happens,” he pondered.
Ne-Yo has been in touch with the pop starâs management, although he says it can be difficult speaking to Lady Gaga herself as sheâs so busy working all the time.
“We’ve been talking to Gaga’s people about some stuff,” he explained.
“Gaga’s very difficult to get a hold of as of late, for obvious reasons. She’s very busy. We’ve been talking to her people about doing some stuff.”

Lady GaGa: ‘New album is rock crossover’

Lady GaGa hopes her new album will be a rock crossover record that will “reach the masses”.
The singer, who recently debuted a track on tour called ‘You and I’ from the widely anticipated LP, said the track doesn’t reflect the sound of the whole record, but hopes it will have widespread appeal.
“I wrote the song just to write a beautiful song and I intend to put it on the new album, yes,” GaGa told RWD.
“But it’s not totally indicative of the new album sound; it’s just a really big rock and roll hit. I do have these hopes that it could be a great crossover record, so I’m going to put my producer’s hat on and get it to a place where I feel like it could reach the masses.
“It’s a beautiful, beautiful lyric and melody.”
GaGa also discussed her longevity in the music industry, claiming her Monster Ball tour has become a “religion” for her fans.
“I think that I’m, in the best kind of way, as irrelevant as I am relevant and it’s the timing of when the music came and when the show came. Also, the thing is, the show has become a religion for me and my fans.
“In that way it’s about so much more than the music, the clothes or me. It’s about the togetherness of music and culture.”
GaGa’s new album, Born This Way, is slated for release next year.

GaGa: ‘New album will change the world’

Lady GaGa has opined that her new album will “change the world”.
The singer, who recently announced the LP’s title as Born This Way, believes her music has the ability to liberate people.
“The album is my absolute greatest work Iâve ever done and Iâm so excited about it,” she told RWD Magazine.
“The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean in my own life – itâs utter liberation.
“I knew I had an ability to change the world when I started to receive letters from fans: âYou saved my life…â âIâm gay and my parents threw me out…â
“My fans have related to me as a human being and as a non-human being – as a super-human person that I truly am.”
The ‘Alejandro’ star also said that she is not arrogant, insisting that music is the only thing she feels confident about.
She continued: “Everyone tells me Iâm arrogant but my musicâs the only thing Iâve got, so youâll have to let me be confident about one thing. I suppose thatâs what you can expect from the album: a lot of hit records that will piss people off.
“BeyoncĂ© said: âWhere the f**k do you get these ideas from?â And I was like: âI donât know Bee, it was just the way I was born’.”

Katy Perry talks Lady GaGa’s Meat Dress

The Lady Gaga meat dress was one of the over-the-top outfits worn by Lady Gaga who won multiple awards at the MTV Video Music Awards. Gaga’s outfits shocked and even offended some, but Katy Perry is not among that group, as reported at MTV.
Just meat?
Are Lady Gaga’s fashion statements just fashion statements or is Gaga trying to convey something more? The Lady Gaga meat dress was probably the most shocking of the many outfits we’ve seen on the 24-year-old pop sensation. But according to Gaga, the dress was more than just meat. Said Gaga about the Franc Fernandez creation, “It has many interpretations, but for me this evening, it’s ‘If we don’t stand up for what we believe in, we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones.’” Lady Gaga, who has been outspoken about her thoughts on gay rights, brought men and women to the MTV Video Music Awards who were discharged from the military due to Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.
Over-the-top but doing it right says Katy Perry
According to Katy Perry, Lady Gaga’s outfits may be shocking, but they’re not just shocking for shocking sake. “The costumes are the bells and whistles and bells and whistles can be really fun, but you have to have the spine, and I think that with Gaga, she’s got the spine and she’s got the costume,” said Perry, who was particularly appreciative of Gaga’s Alexander McQueen dress. “I thought the Alexander McQueen outfit was stunning,” said Perry.
The 25-year-old Katy Perry, herself, has been known to appear in outfits that others may not have the balls to wear. Whether she has fuzzy dice all over her dress, a big picture of Obama plastered on her front or a carousel as a skirt, she has branded herself as the California girl who just wants to have fun. As serious as Lady Gaga wants to be with her Lady Gaga meat dress? No. Katy Perry has never been that deep and doesn’t pretend to be. But at least she sticks to a theme.

Lady GaGa backs Senate leader’s vote call

Lady GaGa has voiced her support for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s vote on repealing the US military’s ban of openly gay and lesbian personnel.
The singer, who picked up eight MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, is a vocal supporter of gay rights, having previously tweeted about her opposition to Proposition 8.
Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the star blasted the current “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy which bans servicemen and women from being open about their sexuality.
The AP reports that following the appearance, Senator Reid’s staff exchanged tweets with GaGa. A vote on repealing the legislation is scheduled for next week, although a spokesman for the senator insisted that it had already been scheduled prior to GaGa’s talkshow appearance.
Responding to the announcement of a vote on Twitter, GaGa told followers: “God Bless and thank you HarryReid, from all of us, like you, who believe in equality and the dream of this country. We were BORN THIS WAY. (sic)”
