Britney Spears chats Lady GaGa and Jo Calderone
Britney Spears spoke about Lady GaGa and her Jo Calderone character during promo in the UK this week, check out the video above (starting at 0:53). When asked about Jo Calderone at the MTV Video Music Awards, she spoke highly of Lady GaGa’s portrayal:
“She’s hilarious. She was so into character, and really strong willed. You know, the way she portrayed herself and just…she exuded such confidence and uniqueness in her character. It was really crazy and fun.”
Britney was also asked about how she sees Lady GaGa as an artist, and continued to speak highly of her:
“I think she…you know what, she comes from the theatre. So, she gets the background of not just, you know, coming out with a good song – which a lot of people do – but she understands the craft of being an entertainer. Which I think, that’s why she appeals to so many people, because they love to see what she’s going to do next and it’s so interesting…even for me, to watch her. So, she’s a character. She’s really cool.”
Finally, Britney was asked about a possible collaboration between the two pop music heavyweights, to which she replied “maybe so”.
